Hello,
I apologize, I thought I saw an older thread about this, but I cant find it.
I just received Spann's Guide to Gibson.
I notice The Mandolin Archive has shipment dates that are from Spann's Guide. The manufacture dates listed are Traditional Estimates.
Spann's mentions FON#'s are manufacture dates and serial#'s are shipment dates.
Except for Loar Labels and other high end instrument that had a serial number assigned ahead of time.
So does this change all the dates of manufacture for the other Loar Era instruments in the Loar Era category on The Mandolin Archive Site?
Or does it change the manufacture dates of all mandolins made between 1902-1941 other then Signed Loars?
