Custom made with curly hard maple sides, backs and necks.
Tops are 100 year old reclaimed antique fir, ebony fingerboards and pegheads.

Let us know what you think.
I do have some more pictures if interested.

Thanks for the replies and encouragement! We are currently working on more pictures and a sound bite. Fortunately we are better at woodworking than computers.

Spec wise, this pair of Doves' backs are slab cut, hard maple. Probably from West Virginia or Pennsylvania. Necks are quartered hard maple. Mandolin on left has silver fir top from a very large timber, salvaged from a barge that sank off the coast in BC in 1918. Mandolin on right has pickled fir top from a source we cannot reveal. Both Doves have ebony appointments and gold hardware, with handrubbed lacquer finish.

How much do the mandolins cost?

Same question - ($$$) - I just checked the "builders" section with no luck re: "DOVE".... Inquiring minds would like to know, 'cause the mandos sure look good. Moose. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif
