Question about Gibson A-O Snakehead

I just acquired this107416107417 Gibson A-O mandolin and after doing some research and from what the seller told me, it's from 1924. The label inside the mando says it is an A-O with serial number 80563. I have read some (what seem to be) conflicting points of view about A-O's, A-Jr's and snakeheads. Thoughts? And thank you!

According to Joe Spann's book S/N 80563 would date to 1926, not 1924. If the label says A-O than it's just that.
