I see that Charles has an 80's 300E for $500.00 clams, and I think it is cool, but I am wondering if you all think I should wait for a 400E to come around? How often have you all seen the Kentucky KM-400E come up for sale and for how much? It think it would be an easier transition with the 400 being a 4 string, but I like the chalange of a new instrument it terms of 5 strings...the Fender FM-60 was on my radar up until I heard of these Kentucky's from the 80's.
Ok, thanks for your time and keep me posted on the 400 and 300...dy.

If you want a Kentucky electric, get the new 4-string KM300E. Forget about the '80s ones. The old 400E almost never comes around, and the old 300E isn't that great of an instrument in my experience.

Good scoop....I know that this emando will not be my number one instrument and all...I will look around a bit more for the 400E or Fender FM-60, then if nothering comes around, I may very well settle on the current 300E. I am a guitar player at heart, my Martin LSV is a monster, and my Gallitan is number two, so this emando would come in 3rd, and a third string instrument at $250-ish is just fine...But dog gone the 400E is sharp lookin, dy.
