I don't have a tractor. How about a lawnmower or weed whacker?

Bill, is that an Italian tractore?

There is a guy near me who collects old tractors and he has an ancient-looking Farmall and a mailbox that matches. Maybe I could sneak over and take a photo with it.

This reminds me of the thread a few years ago of mandolins and chickens. Luckily I was able to rent a flock for my self-portrait. Now I have to find a tractor.

Ooooh this is going to be a good thread. I know a fellow restored a 1938 iron wheel Fordson.

Best I can do is a pic with my mandolin and strap adorned by a Massey Ferguson patch...

How about a tenor banjo (GDAE) in place of mandolin and an archaic tractor. Does this count, too?

You need to expand the demographic, Bill, and start a new thread with bicycles. I happen to know you have a good one of your mandolin and a bicycle (with a castle thrown into the mix for good measure).

ron - thanks. i tried that as well (http://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/showthread.php?107037-post-a-picture-of-your-mandolin-n-bike-in-front-of-the-castle&highlight=castle) the turn out was ... tepid.

You should know by now that if it doesn't mention the magic words Bill, Gibson or Bluegrass, next to nobody's paying attention.

I love that articulated tractor. Looks like just the ticket for working in the vineyard.

You can tell I'm a good farmer from the bailing twine, wire-tie, hose clamps and mule tape holding it together. And that missing body work? You'd think that was due to entropy, but it's all the rage with the sport-bike crowd.

I don't think there are any tractors on the island - no room! You should see how small the backhoes are around here. :disbelief: Best I can do is some old photos with an old truck.

I like the whale coming out of the top of his head.

It shows he's having a whale of a good time! He had a whale of an idea! He - oh, whale! :whistling:

Yes. A horse is an acoustic tractor. ;)

Ordinarily I think it is a good idea to keep mandos away from greasy tractors but this thread is fun. Here is an Old Wave C#, New Holland TCD 40 and Truax Flex Seed Drill. All pressured washed (except the mandolin) and ready to haul to work tomorrow. 135230
