This is a mandolin I finished a couple of months ago, and have just recorded a couple of sound clips. #150 so is a bit of a landmark for me and I wanted to make something special. It is a blonde oval hole made from Carpathian Spruce and European Maple. Fingerboard is Australian Lancewood, bindings and pickguard are Tasmanian Blackwood and tuning knobs are NSW Ironwood. Vary pleasing looks, but I think the best thing about this mandoin is the sound. They don't come any better than this. Hope you like it.

I know that most mandolinist around the Mandolin Cafe seem to prefer F-styles and I can't really blame them until I see a really fine looking oval hole A-style. The hole thing just works aesthetically. This one is about as fine an example of that as any. Peter you have nailed it.
