Ok, here is the deal: One mic to be a road mic, one that can cover many bases, (Sitting on the couch next to another player, standing across form another player, or three of us all side by side on the porch); A mic the comes as a set, cable, box, mount, shock, where I don't have to pick around for parts, accessories, also, price: Not anything to worry about if dropped, stolen, or what ever, durable? I hope, anyhow, how about the 1050 as my basic demo type recording mic, for house jams, porch jams....thanx, dy.
P.S. About $250.00.

I don't know about this mic, I do know I have had some nady stuff, some good some not so good...that was a few years ago and it was a wireless system. Since nady is still around I asume they have gotten better/have some good stuff but if it were me and I was spending $250.00 on a mic I would look somewhere else...just my 2 cents

For $250 you are almost at the price of a Shure, AKG, or AT (I bought an AKG C3000 for $200 and it's been great). I look at the Nadys and other inexpensive mics, but I'm glad I bought the better names - they sound fine, and whenever I take them out I have never had a worry or a problem.

Reading the pro audio websites, one never hears good things about Nady mics. Just thought I'd pass this along.

Samson has one in its lineup, another lowbudget multi pattern too, as I note, China naturally. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif
