Here is another picture, of the whole mandolin http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
What do you think of it?

It is lovely to play on, and sounds just wonderful; will give you a link when I have recorded something nice http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I love that satin finish. As a Rigel owner (and I hope the boys from Vermont are reading this) I wish satin were their standard finish. I can't think of a Rigel that would not look better with less gloss. It really shows off the interesting contours of that avant garde design, rather than covering them up.

Also, I hope everyone is taking note of Atle's heart-shaped postion markers, just in time for Valentine's Day!

Ah, Johnny, in most issues, I'm usually in agreement with you, but not on this one.
A mandolin without gloss is like a kiss without a mustache...
To each his own. (Good looking axe, Atle.)

Mandohack,
Personally I prefer my wife not have a mustache when I kiss her.:D
