Here is my latest. It is a handsome instrument, nice tone in my opinion, but not as loud as my Kentucky or Flatiron. Considering that I am a rank beginner that's a good thing!

The background instruments are my wife's 70s era Vega banjo and GS550 Taylor.

Congrats Joe. There's a Dragonfly in a local store here. The setup is so bad that it is nearly unplayable.
But, I was awed at the round dry woody tones that came out of it. Have fun.

Interesting that stores even show instruments without setting them up. I purchased this one at Buffalo Bros in Carlsbad, CA. My experience with them is that the mandos that they do stock are normally in tune (or close to it) and ready to take home with new strings, etc. when they are displayed for sale.

It's a large chain store too Joe.
And, the sad thing is, I would bet there's not a person in house that knows how to tune
a mandolin without getting out a book.
On the upside, they don't have one banjo.:grin::grin:
