I can't read the top of the stamp but it was made in Catania, Sicily, a large instrument-manufacturing area. Most likely from the earlier part of the last century. I also see a blue sticker that says the same thing. A lot of good my info does, right? :)
Can you post a closeup of the stamp and any other photos: ones of the back end headstock would be helpful.

Hard to tell from the picture. I pulled it into Photoshop to zoom in, but that didn't help a whole lot. Maybe you could post a better/closer photo of the stamp?
In reviewing my files, it looks like it could be a poor impression of the Puglisi stamp. Just a guess, however.....

Well, at least I figured out the maker: Francesco Musumeci. Here is another fancier one on eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Most-beautiful-old-Italian-mandolin-w-Romulus-Remus-inlay-Musuneci-Catania-/130941134471).
There is a better or different stamp on that one.
Short discussion on this mandolin starting here (http://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/showthread.php?2591-Bowlbacks-of-Note&p=1175988&viewfull=1#post1175988).
