Thread "lock downs"

It's been quite some time since a thread has been "locked down"...I am glad to see that you folks are conducting yourselves in a "civilized manner"

Not sure what you mean. Threads get locked all the time. In fact, one reason we have a reputation for civil discussion is that our moderators are good about spotting trouble and shutting it down before it gets nasty.

This one stands a good chance of getting locked because it's not about mandolins. There's very little purpose for a meta-discussion about thread locking.

True enough. In fact, one of the surest ways to get a thread locked down is to bring up the subject. And with nothing else going for this thread ... :whistling:
