Greetings to all and thank you for allowing me into your forum! Can anyone here tell me more about this particular Regal Octophone? I've seen pics of other Regal Octophones and I have yet to find one with this particular bridge and tail peice! Any info will be welcome and appreciated! Thanx!101978 I know that the tail peice is a Bell Brand but, that's about all I know!

The bridge could have been added later by someone that either broke the original or lost it or needed to raise the action to accommodate for changes in the geometry of the instrument. Unfinished bridges were not uncommon on some of the Chicago built instruments from many of the builders. The Bell brand tailpiece was a staple in the Regal parts bins. The style isn't unusual. It could have come from the factory or it could have been added. It looks like it's in decent shape. Their inclusion doesn't make the instrument rare.
