I really love this tune but I can't find decent sheet music or tab (either one really doesn't matter). I can always try to do it by ear but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

There's a version in the self-published second Jack Tuttle bluegrass mandolin book (that's Tuttle, not Tottle), you can get it on the internet from his site pretty easily. He's a local guy. I think that's a tune that's better to learn by ear though- the notes aren't that tricky, they just go really fast.

Most of the time what I call "Stoopid fast"!

Mandolin Magazine, Spring 2011 edition has a nice version from Joe Carr.

There are several Tabledit versions at the Mandozine.com website. I learned (sort of) the Mark O'Connor version there.

Well, well, those two guys aren't too bad.

Yeah, I like how they almost finish each other's thoughts. And they play rhythm will the same abandon as lead. That is about as good as it gets.

Thanks for sharing! I love Sam Bush and Mike Marshall, two of many of my favorite mandolin players.

That was from the mid 80's, I figure. Right around the time Sam released Late As Usual, on which Mike played - Russian Rag, tore it up. Thile was 2.

I have the same tune on an old Starday LP which calls it "Banjo in The Bluegrass" - same tune,3 different names - is this a record ? (pun intended),

I've been looking for this song as well, and the Mandozine library of Tabledit files had a very nice selection! Thanks for that.

Incidentally, here's a great Daybreak in Dixie duet with Adam Steffey and Sierra Hull, just for general viewing pleasure...
