Anybody played one of these mandos? I've seen a few videos and from what I can tell they sound pretty good and look really nice too. Also the prices seem pretty affordable for a small shop mandolin.

I've played several of Bruce's instruments including several of the ones for sale on his website. He brought them to Augusta Heritage in Elkins, WV last summer.
I must say that I was very impressed with the sound that comes from Bruce's instruments. The fit & finish is good, not perfect like Collings or Ellis, but good. Nothing that is a structural issue and the finish is honestly pretty good, just not perfect.
The instruments have a very good 'chop' and pretty clear treble on the high strings. I think they are a very good value, especially at the discounts that he's offering this month. I honestly thought about buying one myself but just didn't need another instrument. (Ask my wife.);)
