View Full Version : Are "Folk of The Wood" Video Clips still available?

I've found the old Folk of The Wood video clips of various mandolins very helpful in comparing instruments in the past, but it seems as if the site is "down," frozen, or otherwise inaccessible to me now. When I try to access the site, it begins to load the url and then freezes.
Anybody else have a problem accessing it recently?

Same thing. That company has had so many problems it may just finally be gone. Frankly, the online video and audio available now on other sites is far superior to those 2000 era clips. I used to compare mandolins with those FOTW clips frequently.

The Mandolin Store and Greg Boyd's both have mp3 clips of their instruments.

Mickey Cochran passed away. Family tried to continue site. Guess life got in the way. Real shame Mickey was a great help as started playing mandolin. His videos were better than most at the time. The free stuff on his site unbelievable. Downloaded lots of it and still refer to it. Actually, was in communication with Mickey, he took the time to help his customers. Seemed like a really great guy. Was sadden when I heard of his death.
