Is this thing junk. Looked it up but only few post here. Are they plywood and dull sounding.

Looks pretty junky. For a few bucks more you can get a Rover or The Loar A-style and be on your way to having a real instrument.

Between the wall-hanger value and the Gator case, maybe it is "almost" worth it?

The case is definitely the more valuable.

And you want to order it shaken, not stirred :cool:

The Martini brand name was a brand name owned by a local New Jersey music chain. They brought in all sorts of imported instruments with that name. A friend of mine bought one of their mandolins off eBay and was tickled pink that the shipping cost exceeded the price of the instrument.
