I am hereby officially adopting these four-string Blues Machines into the tenor guitar family!

This is the thread to post all things related to these instruments.

I'll start with this gem...Samantha Fish on a 4-string cigar box tenor guitar (tuned to double G5 [GDGD], I think?) playing R.L. Burnside's Shake Em On Down.

That's the stuff right there...Mojo for Miles. :mandosmiley:

Ed, you are not helping me tame my urge to get one of these. There's a guy here locally that makes these things, and he even spins his own resonator cones.

I have two cigar boxes sitting around here somewhere. I know I want to make a mandolin out of the smaller one, maybe I'll do a tenor guitar with the larger one!

I just finished making one. CGDA tuned with a vintage (near death) 17-fret tenor banjo neck. I'm loving it.

I'm having so much fun with this one I decided to build another. These things are multiplying. ;)
