My NEW, custom made, Rigel CT110 http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Great guys to deal with, I must say! Click the links above to see images of it. It only needs to be satinized now http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif (Pictures from Rigel.)

Looks great Atle! I'd love to hear how it sounds, and I know you will put some sound files out on your website soon.

Question: How does "satinizing" work? What to do they actually do to the instrument?

Very nice. I never saw that slanted tailpiece before- did you order that or is it a new item for the CT110?
enjoy

I didn't order the tailpiece at first, but they asked me if I wanted it, and Im very satisfied with it http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif, the mandolin is red and black, I haven't heard it yet.. As far as I know, satinizing is using a fine (sand?)paper and making the surface/finish a bit rougher? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif
