My First Mandolin Day.
I recieved my mando in the mail today from a purchase on fleabay. From this forum and other reasearch I found out the MA 1 is a begginer mandolin and pretty cool. I got it for 80 bucks and it still had the plastic on the pickguard. The lady said it was a 2005, made in Indonesia, but it is super clean. The only bummer is I can't play it because it needs new strings, and they have not come yet.
So far...
The pro's...Inexpencive, nice shape, nut looks good and it will sound good enough for me to start on.
I think they sold new for under $200.00
Cons..Fit and finish sloppy in places, Tail piece looks real cheap and it needs a setup. All in all not bad. I think I'm gonna like it! ~o)
