Someone told me Vince Gill has it, someone else said Ricky Skaggs....S/N 74659, dated December 11, 1923.
One of several I let get away over the years.
Also 1925 fern 81409.

As in many Loars/Ferns that change hands over the years those two serial numbers new owners wish to remain unknown.
I remember Lonnie and his Loar, from IBMA Lou-ville...

Knew of Lonnie before but finally met him at the Louisville 2001 IBMA. And kept in touch until he passed. I remember reading here that Charlie Derrington felt Lonnie's Loar was in the top 5 or so, for sound and playability, of all the Loars he had ever put his hands on. Enjoyed playing it many hours that IBMA weekend.
