According Breedlove's website they use the Schertler as their internal pickup. According to Schertler's website Breedlove uses a customized version of their pickup. My question is: what is customized? I assume Breedlove uses a 1/4" tailpiece jack while the standard Schertler comes with an XLR connector. Is this correct? Are their any other difference between the two?

Thanks,
Paul

! recent email from the US distributor. I learned there is a C variation of the DynM pickup.
that's the one thats used .
It is #specifically made for installation, presumably the contact face is made differently, and the wire leads are to be soldered to a TRS jack end-button.

To continue to use the mixers internal Mic preamp the use of #a #stereo/TRS jack can replace the XLR, then you would adapt the other end of the balanced cable back to XLR again with a Neutrik made adaptor. 3 conductor all the way.

Or a minor soldering project; for one of each on the ends of the cable, TRS > XLR m .
