Bear with me.... I hope I can post photos without messing things up. I just strung up my first H-5 style mandola yesterday. Adirondack top, Virzi, radiused fingerboard, Waverly tuners, James tailpiece, 17" scale. I'm not a mandola player, but it's hard to lay this one down! Here are a few photos and a link to some video.

A masterpiece, Lynn. As usual. Not bad playing by Mike either. Is that "Cha Cha Chihuahua"?

That back looks like a light breeze on a sea of root beer. You can see the fizz in it.

Glassweb, yep, it's the first, but not the last dola! I wish you could give this one a test drive. I know you are a dola guy. Danny... I don't play mandola either, but I think I want to learn too. Thanks for all the kind words.

Once again you have created a beautiful instrument stirring feelings of desire, congratulations on a fine Mandola, maybe someday soon I will have one! I still can't stop thinking about your mandolin I played at The Swuanna Gathering. I am hooked on your instruments!

That sound! Reminds me more of a small 'cello than a larger mandolin, and as a 'cello fanatic, that's the highest praise I can give. Heavenly.

Pretty color, wood, and tone and I'll bet it plays like butta (or butterscotch).

Stunning selection of wood and stain colors Lynn. I love the theme...almost like it was yelling for a third point and pineapple tailpiece

I got to spend some time with the Dudenbostel mandola today......Splendiferous is what I'd say! Hard to give back to Lynn, and it will be hard for the owner to put down.

The H4/H5 shape is much closer to the proportions of the late 3pt mandolins than the early 2pt ones.I always think my 3pt is a twin for an H4

Great job as always Lynn. I echo Darryl's comment on color and wood selection. A master piece. Sounds great too!
