Welcome to the cafe, mike, from another mike. I have a '70s Epiphone (Japanese) that I enjoy a lot, a 2-pt BG-440. I hope your mandolin keeps giving you what you want from it. MM50 mandos look quite pretty.
The e is an acoustic electric? What do you use the electric part for? I've been considering how to plug in for a worship band, and such an instrument is one route I've considered.
