Have you seen Jake Wildwood's post covering a similar instrument?

These go pretty cheap, as there is not much demand for them these days.

Typically, £25-60 GBP or roughly, $40-$70 US even in great condition. I have seen them even less than that.... £10/$15!

It is not actually a mandolin as such, but a banjo-mandolin (or mandolin-banjo if you prefer), sometimes also called a "banjolin".

Top makes go for more (Clifford Essex, Gibson, etc.) but this particular brand is not in the higher echelons....

This is made by George Houghton and Son of Birmingham and looks like one of their better models of banjo mandolin. I can't really make a suggestion on the price... maybe at the top of the range suggested by almeriastrings or perhaps even a little more. Why not keep an eye on this quite similar one currently on an auction site (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1920s-G-HOUGHTON-SONS-MELODY-MAJOR-MANDOLIN-BANJO-All-Original-3-904-/230863635060?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_210&hash=item35c08b8274&_uhb=1) to see if it goes (despite the "optimistic" BIN price!).
