Very, very nice tone. Sounds almost a little like a hammered dulcimer tone or a harp of some sort.

Quite honestly I found it difficult to differentiate between the mandolin and the backing tracks, although on the whole it was a pleasing sound.

Thanks for the kind comments. The good thing about using an electric instrument is that the tone quality can be 'tweaked' to get just the sound you want ..... though this is not to detract from the quality of the mandolin (I have also ordered an acoustic from Paul Shippey). Re your comment,. Dave - in neither piece was it my intention to create a mandolin solo with backing, but rather fully integrated pieces with the mandolin featured.
