OK- this one looks like a Gibson to me, but the peghead inlay seems alien. Can someone enlighten me? I don't believe I've seen one like it before.

And the seller has gotten very optimistic with the asking price.....$1800 for a 1914 A model Gibson??

Applique might be all right. Inlay would be a big boo-boo. Instant conversion to "player" status with no hope of redemption. LOL
