I woke up this morning to the sound of the Moody Blues' "Nights in White Satin" performed on mandolins! #Here's the story:

Outstanding find Joe! TheWebsite (http://www.moodybluegrass.com/)for the actual recording is pretty nifty - plus there is a version of Knights in White Satin which kind of knocks me over.

Can a bluegrass retrospective of Emerson Lake and Palmer be far behind?

Brent Truitt plays on a series of disks titled "Pickin' on XX" where XX is a pop band of some sort.. basically bluegrass re-casts of pop music..

I enjoyed this CD. #its really cool to hear all the moodies licks done on mando. #The moodies own Justin Hayward (my personal Guitar hero !) even drops a note of kudos at the www site. #the same site shows a poster that says 'Moody Bluegrass Vol 1.' #can more moody bluegrass be coming our way http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif
