I have #78, it's a good little mando. 2200 Euros (about $2,760 USD) seems a little expensive to me, it should be in very good condition for that price.

As I mentioned in a previous discussion its hard to describe tone and make comparisons without playing different instruments in the same place but I think of Paul's sound as being the pure bluegrass tone, very clean with great projection and cut.

Here's the listing being discussed (http://www.ebay.de/itm/Mandoline-Summit-F100-C-Custum-91-mit-Calton-Koffer-Raritat-TOP-Zustand-/221050660037). It comes with a Calton case and the BIN price doesn't feel way out, but the seller is taking offers.

The price puts it a £1,774 UK.That's a pretty good price i'd say for a Custom built Summit AND the Calton case. It would certainly be a good buy for somebody in the UK as well - no duty or tax to be paid as it's in the EU. Werner - go & play it !!!.
OS - The reason why it seems more expensive to you folks in the USA,is that the seller had to pay duty & tax on it when he bought it.That always comes into the re-sale pricing as well,
Ivan;)
