The famous #55 http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif . Built by Mr. D. Bruce Taggart in 1983. This baby will be hitting the road with me in January with the Wildwood Valley Boys. You can also hear it on their new CD to be released on Rebel Records in late spring/early summer of 2005. http://www.wildwoodvalleyboys.com

I lost that thing...but it says "If you ain't mandolovin' then you ain't mandolivin'". #
# David and Scotti, there was something wrong with my internet for a long time where I couldn't post on here, but she's fixed now. #I always kept up reading, just couldn't post. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif #Anyway...the mando is soundin' better than ever and always improving. #A major improvement to the sound are these Gibson monels that I play now...was a big J74 guy. #May have to try the new D'Addario equivalent soon, but I like these Sam Bush strings an awful lot.

What's up Jake? Haven't seen ya in a while. I didn't realize you were playing with the Wildwood Boys. That's great. Are you still going to play with Deer Creek?

Ryan, I'll be playing with James White & Deer Creek when possible. WVB will be my full-time band beginning in January.

Be looking forward to seeing you this summer

Thanks Jack,
Check out the website http://www.wildwoodvalleyboys.com for our schedule...come see us and please introduce yourself to me. If you liked the Boys from Indiana you'd be pleased to know Aubrey Holt is playing with us still for a little bit longer. Singin' tenor and lead on a few during the set. AWESOME!

Glad to hear from everyone who chimed in so far, the discussion is getting off of the mandolin, which is fine with me, but doesn't really fit the "Post a picture of your mandolin" category. So if you have anything you'd like to say please feel free to email me...I'd appreciate it. mandomonster@hotmail.com

Hi Jake, We were discussing your Taggart awhile back and I’m glad you still have it, #55s a real monster in your hands. Do you still have any thoughts about having it refinished? We can’t wait to hear the CD and I’ll check your schedule to see if you’re coming out our way.

Yeah, I thought about it a lot after we spoke about refinishing it. It's finding the time to get that kind of thing done. That's my only mando-axe right now. I never really could go w/out it...and especially not now. I'd have to get a hold of a loaner sometime. If I decide to get it done...I'll contact you. Thanks.

Monroe never found time to get his re-finished. Even when it went in for repair!
