The link works, but the play button doesn't. I prefer musicians not get so political, anyway, which is a lot of why I own no Ry newer than "Bop Til You Drop".

I think musicians should sing what they want.

But why should this blatantly political diatribe and should not be playing or discussed on the Mandolin Cafe? This is a place that prides itself on being devoid of politics (as you can tell from all the closed threads).

Personally, I think the premise of this song by Ry Cooder is stupid and baseless and not the least bit humorous -- nor was it intended to be.

A familiar talk through worn out country melody. Ry could never sing anyway. Mandolin sounds ok though.
