I have many, many violin ornaments, mostly given by private students through the years but only two mandolin ornaments. They are both bowlbacks, Pac-rim in origin and appear to need proper set-up. Anything on your tree?

Here's an F style I found a couple of years ago.

Heh,

I've been collecting mandolin ornaments since before I played! I hope to find them all this season, though I doubt it. When I get my tree up, I will post a few shots (with new mando to boot, hopefully... she's at the luthier's being set up now!). It is odd how bad ornaments are set up, huh? Extra gold flaked strings must be common this time of year...

Am I wrong, or is that a barre chord? On a mando!

pearl, paua and abalone trus rod covers would look lovely. hanging from the tree, maybe buy a potted spruce and wait after you replant it in the yard for a few years.
