This old girl was made in 1936/37 (FON 12030) and has a carved maple back. Well played in her lifetime, she is all original with pickguard etc. (in a new case, who knows if there ever was an old one). When I found her in an Austin pawn shop she needed a bit of tlc, but I saw the potential. All the battle scars told how she had been well played and well loved for many years. My luthier repaired a small top crack, a separation of the back at the tail and dressed the frets. Could probably use a new nut, but the old ebony one is fine for now. I added a McClung armrest. She has been really waking up in the last couple of days and has a really nice tone. I love bringing old instruments back to life.
