one-piece vs. two-piece backs?

Just looking to see what people's opinions are about this. Most of the "good" mandos I've played have had two-piece backs, but in my experience, glue can only do bad things for vibration along a joint (not that my "experience" is extensive enough for my opinion to warrant much consideration). Have any of you noticed significant differences between one and two-piece setups or is it simply a matter of cosmetic appearance. Thanks

It has been discussed here before that there is no real difference between a two piece or one piece back. The difference is in the carving.
