It's actually kind of cool looking even if it is a weapon of mass destruction.

I've heard you get more bang for your buck if you get the A-style... #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Obviously invented by a banjo player frustrated with the mando guy gettin' all the women! It's all about the scroll, baby.

In fact, our banjo player had some work done on his instrument a while back, and while it was in the shop for a few days, he rented something to play. He had his pick of several in the store, and he chose exactly the same model as pictured. He said he liked the way it sounded, unplugged, thank God!

For me, it was secretly a relief because his own instrument is a fancy Gibson archtop from the 60's and the way he has it set up, it's loud as all get out. When that thing is pointed at me, I can't think straight, much less play, which has been a subject of some discussion (and gradual improvement) within the band. Maybe Jackstraw has the right idea after all... :-)

There are some things that just should not be tried....Sleeping with your best friends Mom, skydiving without a parachute and DEFINATELY that! Where are the studs in the neck to hook up the electricity? lol

One can only hope it short-circuits and puts a merciful end to the poor demon playing it.

Our banjo player uses that exact model. I laughed my can off when I saw it. I am a mandolin player who is not subject to scroll envy. But I play with a banjo player who is. Is'nt it ironic...don't you think?

The only thing I can think of that is even close to that monster is the Banjo guitar hybrid....I am sorry if anyone has one of those....but it my opinion and I am sticking to it!
