That is an awesome looking Mandolin, possibly the best looking Mix I've seen to date. Good Luck with her she's a beauty.

Truly a thing of beauty. I've got to get off this site fast...I'm feeling an acute attack of MAS!

The oval-holed build really suits the CF. Cool.

YES!!
How is the color done? Is that a brown or gold tint over the usual silver/grey carbon fibre, or is there a layer of (goldish-colored) kevlar on top? Either way, it REALLY makes me want to travel up to New Hampshire!

Congrats Blueron. It's been a long time coming. Those are great Mix pics. I think Peter could make good use of them as a marketing tool. What an interesting journey the A4 made around the world before landing in your hands. Hope it meets all your expectations.

You'd have to ask Peter about the technique in putting on the brown tint, but I believe it's in a coating over the original silver grey/black.

I did a video clip of my friend (and café member) Bert Deivert playing it tonight at a local blues bar. Will try to get it to YouTube soon and will share the link.

That's a mighty fine looking instrument: I'm not normally sold on the "bare woven CF" look, but the color and finish on that one look just great - count me a convert!

I don't know how Peter did that, but he has done a Good Thing.

Here is a clip of Bert Deivert playing the A4 at a local blues bar. It is taken with a simple compact stills camera at a venue with very rudimentary amplification, so the sound quality is very basic. In person, the Mix had a solid, bright sound with even volume across the strings.
