I order lots of strings from Strings and Beyond.
They often/always include a little selection of guitar picks in the shipment, marked "You pick 'em, We ship 'em".
I always take these promotional picks and toss them into the big peanut butter jar - which is pretty full after all these years.
I mean with Blue Chips and Red Bears and V Picks and Pro Plecs and Dawgs etc. who needs 'em, right?
Well, today I dumped the jar out on the table, and one pick went skittering off onto the hardwood floor. It made a very dull sound - much like a ProPlec does in a drop test.
THAT peaked my curiosity, so I picked it up and played my 6 string with it - super.
Then I played my mandolin with one of the upper shoulders - super again!
I really love this little pick!
The one I'm talking about is red and marked H for heavy.
If you've ignored one in the past, dig it out and try it. I'll bet you love it.
Cheers and Happy Holidays
