The original by Flatt & Scruggs had no mandolin, leads were played by Earl on finger-picked guitar out of E position capoed up to... I think A, it's pretty high. It would be challenging to tab out that cool syncopation and slides he gets in there.

Thank you so much. I ran into the same problem, just thought a person smarter than I could have worked it out.
