A while back I posted a Carlo Albertini Milanese mandolin -- and here's a clip of it:

Ah, Jake.
Lovely instrument. Lovely playing. But don't take my word for it; listed to the real builder who posted above me.
I do note six strings on this instrument and no double strings. Yet, you call it a mando. So, do you mind telling a novice like me how it's tuned, scale length, etc. so I can fit it into my mental mandolin category?
Thanks,
Bill

Usually tuned GBEADG low to high. I have this tuned EADGBE an octave above guitar for simplicity's (and accessibility's) sake. This instrument is related to early mandolin instruments that were essentially diminutive single-strung lutes. Our modern Neapolitan-influenced mandos are a more recent adaptation of the form.

molto bello, jake
That's really lovely Jake: particularly liked the fingerstyle playing at the end. Keep up the good work!
