I was very into the progressive rock scene back in the 70's (OK, I'm dating myself), and had an FM album that I really enjoyed.

Interesting timing for your post, Niles: I was trying to remember Nash's name the other day when reading a post from MandoBandage, and was wondering if Nash and he might be related. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

I can remember Nash from growing up in Toronto in the seventies, but to tell the truth, I can't recall a thing about his sound.

So I'm probably just remembering the gimmick.

Didn't he perform as a solo but with taped tracks to back him up ? I know I used to have one of his LP's - I'll look to see if it's still there.

I was a huge fan in the 80s. He did a great job of marketing himself to a very small market for his act, but his shows were so loud I had to be very drunk to endure them. At the time I thought his backing track routine was a crock, and I still do, but he had lots of strange ideas which sometimes worked and sometimes didn't. I likely still have some LPs...

Peace, Mooh.
