Great reunion photo of the Princess Bride cast. Anybody recognize Cary Elwes' mandolin?

Can't really tell but it looks like a mandola to me.

Who cares? Clearly Cary cares more about checking out Robin Wright, as do I. Can you blame us? :) Though he is getting roundly ignored, perhaps learning a bit of the mandolinist's blues as a result. ;)

I'm guessing it's a bowlback. Beyond that, no clue.

Some folk would call that a 'tater-back...

Some folk would call that a 'tater-back...
But they would be mixing their terms: bowl-back, 'tater-bug.
I was going to guess Mid-Mo/Big Muddy mandola, but the headstock's wrong.

I was thinking maybe a Regal or something Chicagoan. I seem to recall seeing some of the flat back models having a more elongated body like the one in the pic.
inconceivable you say? maybe... :)
Love the movie btw - one of my all time favorite

Too bad he couldn't stick with the Redskins.
