So I was listening to Cartalk briefly yesterday and they had a clip of a song that I really liked but I didn't recognise it. It was a car song about the narrator's father's Ford and the "Blacksnake coming down the mountain"
It was a very cool tune with a female on vocals.
Anybody know what it might have been?

If you go to the website at cartalk.com you will find this and way too much time-wasting info there. Click and Clack are big bluegrass fans, play it themselves, and they or someone in Dewey Cheatham and Howe make sure the music they use is duly credited. If it isn't there today - it's the weekend -check on Monday.

So I was wondering if what I said was true - it's been a few years since I looked up a tune from Car Talk (that was the long-lost "Mud Flap Girl") - and sure enough ... "Black Snake" by Donna Ulisse from the album "An Easy Climb" http://www.donnaulisse.com

Unfortunately, I am not seeing a regular vid clip, but there is this chatty background info video:

Thanks Journey,
You know I tried to do just that and had no success. I did find a great article that I managed to read, but I rarely have any luck finding what I really want on sites like that. So thanks again.

You're welcome! :mandosmiley:

For the record (so to speak) and anyone else who isn't sure how to do this, go to http://www.cartalk.com/ then Our Lousy Radio Show (http://www.cartalk.com/menus/show.html) then select from the drop down menu Music on the Show. (http://www.cartalk.com/content/musicology/)
