I am trying to evaluate and date this Epiphone by Gibson Mandolin circa 1920 to 1930.
Please help. Thank you. The mandolin was given to my friend in the 1930's, therefore it cannot be one of the newer models. thanks again.

How many threads are you going to start on this same subject. It has already been answered in the first thread. It is Korean and is worth about $100.00.

I'll post in all 3 just for fun. Is your friend still around that received this as a gift in the 30's? I imagine he's at least 80 years old.

The only thing on this that is from the 20's or 30's is the name Epiphone, but it was not used in that manner in those days. It is still a recent oriental built instrument no matter how many threads may be started about it.

The top on Norm's mandolin is plywood. It can be seen on the edge of the f-hole in the photo with the autograph. As everyone on all of the threads you have started have told you this is not an old instrument.

It is Korean and is worth about $100.00.

Unfortunately it appears to have been scribbled on with black marker so it's value may be diminished somewhat. Perhaps a lesson in not leaving a 2 year old with black markers unattended around vintage instruments.

What does the label inside the mandolin say. That might give you a clue.
