D'Angelico on eBay- Red Flags?

Red flags for me that would tell me to steer clear: 1. It is advertised as "New with tags" when it could not possibly be new and the photo shows obvious wear, tarnish on metal parts, and other issues. 2. They are trying to get a Buy it Now price of 2800 dollars OUTSIDE of the eBay "Buy it Now system. There is no way I could afford this anyway, but if I could, would I right to steer clear because of the above?

Scam. Copied pic from recent listing described in this thread. (http://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/showthread.php?75505-D-Angelico-F-style) Lots of tell-tale clues: language, payment method suggested, etc.

The listing has been pulled, so either someone payed his 2800 or eBay got wise.

I reported as fraud..i guess others did as well..

I reported it as violating ebay policy. I thought that might get action faster than pointing out that it was a fraudulent listing.
