Hi,
I'm about to put a David Freshwater Guitar shape mandolin on Ebay UK. I phoned David Freshwater to ask him about the value and was very surprised when he said that he's only made about 5 of them (3 sent to Australia and two to the UK) he said mine is possibly one of the first he made and something of a collectors item. It's his model FF103.

Have any of you seen one before..I know that Davy Freshwater sells a lot of mandolins in USA and that's why I'm so surprised that he says he's only ever made five of these ?
Best wishes,
Ian

I have one of David's 10-string mandolins, of which I suspect he also has not produced many, but they are probably not as rare as your guitar-shaped mandolin. I for one have never seen either model posted on eBay or in a classified.

How have you tuned it and whats your verdict on it's sound?
