I love this thing... it's like a Vega Style K in terms of tone, but on steroids with the resonator. The non-tonering rim also removes a lot of the shrill that would otherwise be with the instrument, so I was able to set it up like a normal banjo, rather than a banjo-mando (ie, no heavy mando-style bridge, less muting of the head).

That's a really good looking design. I like the bow ties around the rim.

Yeap... there's something about the balance of the instrument's design that looks/feels nice. It's not that much heavier than a carved-top mando and the resonator back pulls it up to "strap level" while sitting and pushes the neck out in the proper position.

When I look at that, I start to think about all the rags in the key of 'C' that I know.
