..I was fortunate to meet Mr. Will Kimble last night at the Frank Wakefield concert in Dayton Ohio. Frank calls him Wont Kimble...lol....Will is a great guy...he had a great A model there with him...killer box...he had it tuned in "Get Up John" tuning...Frank was going to play it. Now the great part..Will just moved to Cincinnati...right down the road from me. How fortunate we Ohioans are to have Will and Ben Wilcox within 2 hrs of each other....their is a God..and hes a mando player..Im sure of it... http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

Thanks. I was thinking about a certain mando of Wils, but obviously, he has always more than one mando around. And yes, all four kimbles I´ve played knocked me out.

I met Will at IBMA and we hung out for a while. Very cool dude. He had an amazing A model Mandola with him then as well as the Blacktop A model with block inlays. He is really making some killer instruments.

If he ever starts taking orders again I will there with my deposit ready for a 'dola in heartbeat.

No doubt the Buckeye state is now blessed with yet another very talented mandolin builder.
