Mandolin Archive Take a look at this spectacular H4 Mandola

The H4 pictured here has all the great features you'd normally see on the high end of Gibson's mandola product tree from 1902-1922- the great double-flowerpot peghead inlay, the large body scroll, elegant lines and beautiful red finish. It's the back of this one that really leaps out at me though, I've never seen birdseye figured maple quite like this one before, and for it to be on a single piece back mandola is all the more unusual.
