I took photos for Fletcher of some recently completed instruments and thought you all might like to see them.

Here is a beautiful blonde birdseye A5:

Here is an OM for our Cafe friend Linds. This is strung with octave pairs, note that the pairs are strung so that the low octave string is hit on the downstroke rather than the other way around as it usually done. This makes the instrument fuller and bassier, yet it still has that octave sparkle.

And another OM, a rich, warm instrument strung with unison pairs.

Oh. My. Goodness. I think I'm just going to camp out on my front porch and wait for the UPS guy to arrive. I can't wait!!!

What body shape is used for the OM's? Is it Fletcher's own design or a Martin 00 or 000? If its Fletcher's own design does anyone know the width at the lower bout?

Thanks!

The OM is more beautiful than you described, Linds. I'll trade you an old Johnson f-body with a collapsed top. We'll work out the details Tuesday at the jam. ;)

It's gonna have to wait a bit, George and Brian. I'm staying up in Steamboat, Colorado for at least several months on a new job. I'll come home every 6 to 8 weeks or so, but mostly for weekends (so Tuesday jams at Grady's are probably out for a while for me). I'll be home August 25th, though, so if you guys hear of any jamming opportunities that weekend, let me know! Or, if either of you are up this way, drop by for some pickin'!

Yep. I got to try one of his F5s at Kaufman Kamp a few weeks ago. A fellow student let me test drive his Brock.
Amazingly responsive. The whole body vibrated with minimal plucking. Great tone and played wonderfully.
Darn MAS!!!
