i finnished my homebuilt case not too long ago and i am worndering what i should do for finnish... and suggestions?
i was thinking a honey color

Carve an epitaph (sp) in the lid and scrape the whole thing. Stain it and rub in an oil finish. A thought John

What kind of wood is it?
I like the idea of an epitath, fits the design.
I think a medium brown would be nice. Might bring out the grain more.
Some other members may be able to give you tips on how to bring the grain out.
