Mando Rig,
Lately, I have been running my Mandobird into a boss tuner, into a baggs acoustic para-di. I like to run into an rp-1 digitech effects unit, but currently I'm using that for my fiddle. Also have a Centaur acoustic pa amp, I like.

Schwab Deluxe 5-string
Holland "Lobo" (25-watt 6V6), with a touch of reverb, for cleaner tones
or
Top Hat Club Deluxe (18-watt 6V6) or Dr.Z MAZ 18 Jr, for a little more edge
or
Fender Champ (early '70's) or B1uesboy, for snarl

Hm. Yanuziello or National Silvo 8-string (soon to be joined by a Bacorn 5-string) into a Fender Blues Jr. by way of Danelectro Daddy-O overdrive pedal. Sometimes accompanied by other Dan-O pedals (DanEcho, CoolCat) and/or a Dunlop Crybaby wah.

Not that I use this rig that much ... the one I use more often is the Donaldson F5 with Fishman M200 & Crown mic through a Rane AP13. I'm going to the Summer Olympics with a rock band and will have to figure out at some point which gear to take.

A)Fender FM61se 8 string with EMG stacked humbucker, and a Vibro-Champ.
B)Viola tuned 4 string with 4 RMC piezo bridge pickups connected to [RMC Polydrive 2; w 3 band EQ + Roland type Sw 1&2 and 2 volume controls; 13 pin out]
GKP to 2 roland synths,a GR30 and a GR33 and that sub mixed occasionally with Yamaha DG stomp DSP (in effects loop);4 channel stereo sub mixer, back to [small] ETEK notemix stereo powered mixer and 2 EV Sx 80 column mounted speakers or smaller Carvin PM5.

Less is more.

My 5 string Earnest goes directly into either a Fender Princeton Reverb or Hot Rod Deville 410 via whatever cable was on sale.

My Flatiron A5 with Fishman goes into a BOSS GE7 pre-amp EQ and then into one of the amps above.

You can hear what the latter sounds like (with the HRD410) on the Mp3 section of this site:

Yeah, mrmando, I saw you copped that Bacorn... Stole it actually. Give us your impressions when you get a chance.

I run a Stevens or a Tiny Moore or a mandoblaster 5-string through a POD 2.0 amp modeler into a Crate 15W amp or a Roland Jazz Chorus 60.

I can't believe how many effects some of you guys have chained together. Don't you have a little trouble with noise and HUMMMM?

Brain to fingers to Schwab 4 string to Korg Pandora PX4 to Polytone Mega Brute to ear. To bad that brain is the weak link in my music chain.

I use a Fender 5-string with the low string removed (gets in the way and doesn't sound all that good) thru a Mutron and into an early 70's Fender Pro Reverb w/ Weber speakers. I recently hot rodded a Fender Princeton that I intend on using more, so I will probably be selling my Pro Reverb (any takers?)

My electric setup:
FM-80E Rouge Acoustic-Electric Mandolin with a $29.99 Rouge WP101 Wah plugged into a Kustom practice amp with some overdrive that I got for $5.00 at a garage sale. I covered it in red-shag to match my mandolin strap. It's a pretty sweet set-up. In case you were wondering, I play lead mandolin in a punk cover band... Nuff said.

I my Rigel A+ Deluxe through:

Baggs Para DI (effects loop)->
Korg DT-10
Morley Little Alligator Volume
George Dennis Wah
Visual Sound H2O (Route 66 on the way)

Then split to the board and my Line 6 Flextone combo (in all its glory) for a layered texture.
